ear 7 and Year 8 went to the Saatchi Gallery, off King's Road in London to experience the latest work from young British artists.
This was a fulfilling experience for all, and, as such, was reflected in the quality of sketchbook research produced by many pupils.
The latest show - 'Newspeak :British Art Today' featured the work of 30 artists whose work shares themes such as ‘borrowed art’, ‘ways of making’, social comment and the celebration of popular mass culture.
Many of our pupils found this a rewarding and rich environment and there were some surprising converts to contemporary art issues! A great day out which I am sure will live long in the collective memory.
