Year 3 visit Anne of Cleves House

as part of their tudor topic

Anne of Cleves was one of Henry VIII’s wives.

First, we all dressed in Tudor clothes to act out the life of Henry VIII. I was the executioner who had to cut people’s heads off! This was my favourite part so I was very happy to be picked!

Max was Henry VIII and Ben was Catherine Parr which was alright because in those days men acted women’s parts too!

Jack was Thomas Cromwell and he had to travel to Rome to see the Pope to seek a divorce for Henry. This took 6 years!
