Heather Beeby Head of Hurst Prep

Heather Beeby
Head of Hurstpierpoint College Prep School

Hurst Prep is a place of learning; it is a place where children feel secure, a place where they are nurtured, a place where they are known and valued. We work ceaselessly to develop a love of learning, and of life.

At the very heart of a Hurst Prep education lies the achievement of academic fulfilment. Our children are encouraged to strive to be the best that they can be academically, and in every other way. They are valued for their own endeavours and achievement in an ethos where personal bests count and are celebrated.

Every child is challenged to reach his or her potential and every child is encouraged and supported as their path through Hurst Prep unfolds before them; for some this will be through Years 3 to 8 whereas for others it will be through Years 7 and 8, as they all prepare for their future Senior School life.

We also offer our children many opportunities to enrich their lives further through a wide range of stimulating creative, sporting and cultural experiences. These enable our children to discover their strengths and talents in the safety of a supportive, loving community.

We share the College’s beautiful, safe and superbly equipped campus and the opportunities we offer are simply outstanding. Add the busy and focused rhythm of Prep School life and the shared experiences of our close community and you have a very special environment in which children grow and develop.

I do hope that you will come and visit the school; I would be delighted to meet you and your family, show you the school and answer any questions you may have.

Important notice: Following the decision of the Governors in November 2012, there is no longer any boarding provision available in the Prep School. Boarding remains an option throughout the Senior School.

Hurst 2012 - a viewpoint:

"We are very impressed and pleased to be so well informed about the children's progress. Moving to Hurst was the best decision we ever made - thanks!"
