Welcome to Hurst

Tim Manly
Headmaster of Hurstpierpoint College

Visitors to Hurst, whether to the Pre-Prep, Prep or Senior School, almost invariably comment upon the friendliness, energy and ambition of the place. Yes, we have magnificent buildings and outstanding facilities on a beautiful 140 acre country campus, but it is the spirit and vitality of Hurst which creates the greatest impact.

Please take a few moments to look through our website. I hope it will enable you to see just some of the reasons why Hurst is such a special school and why we believe that we genuinely offer our boys and girls an education for life.

Then, if you like what you see, please do come and visit the school. Family visits in which you are shown round the school and have a personal appointment with the School's Head are easily arranged. Alternatively, you may like to join us for one of our Open Mornings with other interested families.

Hurst - a viewpoint:

"Teaching is of a very high standard and is well directed towards reaching each individual's full potential. Children are focused on the academic milestones but the timetable includes many other important learning opportunities such as field trips and a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. Students develop a strong sense of community through clarity around rules and responsibilities but equally through a strong appreciation of self-worth and supporting others. Overall Hurst is an exceptional place of opportunity to learn and grow. It provides the best environment in which children can evolve into knowledgeable articulate confident capable and above all happy young adults."
