Welcome from the Head of Sixth Form

The Hurst Sixth Form ethos is clear: work hard, do good and engage. Our aim is to support you in becoming a successful school leaver, whatever your goals and ambitions post-Hurst may be. The two year Sixth Form journey is all about preparing you for adult life and the challenges and excitement that come with that.

When you join Hurst Sixth Form the focus will be on helping you to fulfil four clear ambitions:

    1. Find your “why”: what are your values, what drives you and motivates you to keep on keeping on every day? It is the discovery of this that enables you to confidently make the life changing decisions that are part and parcel of Sixth Form life. Remember, purpose is an incredible alarm clock.
    2. You must set goals that are right for you, and you alone. Only then will you be able to truly fulfil your potential and achieve your dreams and ambitions.
    3. Achieving your goals with hard work, dedication and plenty of grit. You will have a superb set of subject teachers plus specialist academic tutors by your side to help you reflect on your progress and encourage you to take ownership of your Sixth Form journey from week to week.
    4. Last but not least, we want you to mean business every day when you put on that suit: grab every opportunity that comes your way so that at the end of the two year journey you can confidently say that you have had the best possible time and are ready for what life will throw at you.

As you can see, our focus is to prepare you for life after Hurst. When you leave this beautiful campus at the end of your two year Sixth Form journey you will be raring to get out into the world, confidently laying your own individual path through life after school.

I look forward to welcoming you for a visit soon so you can see it all in person.
