The key to our success at Hurst has been excellent staff. Hurst has made a point of recruiting and training individuals, who have the potential to become outstanding teachers, straight from university or those who have had initial careers in other areas.
Our three-year ‘Teach Hurst’ programme is the result of a considerable investment in terms of time and money.
The programme is fully-funded and includes sponsorship of PGCE and NQT training, a starting salary of £21,500 per annum, free on site accommodation (if required) and free meals (term time only).
We are currently looking for well-qualified graduates/undergraduates, across a variety of subject areas, who have the potential to become outstanding teachers, to be part of our three year training programme starting in September 2020.
In essence our programme consists of:
Year 1 Building classroom experience through observation, team teaching and some whole class teaching on a reduced timetable
Year 2 A fully funded, in school, PGCE course
Year 3 NQT Year
Throughout this time we offer close and supportive mentorship, and a CPD programme.
If you are interesting in finding out more or making an application, please can you email Michelle Zeidler, Director of Professional Development and Performance at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are expecting many applications to our programme and will be calling successful candidates for interview starting from the middle of November.
