    Theatre Technician (full time, term time)

    The primary function of Theatre Technician is to work alongside the Technical Stage Manager to provide technical support for all productions at the college as well as work with the Drama department to assist in the teaching of the technical aspects of the GCSE and A Level courses.

    Duties include:

    • To work with the Technical Stage Manager to provide technical support for all internal Drama, Dance and Music productions.

    • Assist the technical team with the building of sets for all internal productions (as required).

    • Assist Theatre Manager and Technical Stage Manager with various essential maintenance tasks in the theatre spaces.

    • Perform duties as required by the Director of Drama to include, but not limited to:

      • Management of Props

      • Management of Costumes

    • Attend select Drama lessons to assist in the teaching of technical theatre as part of the syllabus, and act as a mentor to students who take on technical theatre as an option for their course.

    Morning Cleaner

    Lunchtime Supervisor (Prep School)

    We are looking to recruit a Lunchtime Supervisor to work Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 11.45 am to 1pm during term time only (33 weeks per year).

    This post is responsible for supervising the Prep School children, alongside teaching members of staff, and ensuring the School’s behaviour standards are met by all in the playground and Astroturf during lunchtimes.

    Pay: £8.52 per hour

    Assistant to the Fleet Manager

    The main duty of the jobholder is to ensure, in the absence of the Fleet Manager, the efficient running of the College's fleet of vehicles, overseeing the management of the minibuses, drivers and transport management systems.

    This will include:

    • To deal with emergencies involving College transport and to be prepared and able to resolve transport problems as they occur
    • To allocate drivers, if necessary in conjunction with the Fleet Manager, to the various routes in a fair and equitable manner.
    • To discuss with the drivers any alterations to routes due to road works, etc.
    • To liaise with the SchoolSafe Control Centre on matters relating to the morning and evening bus runs, including advising of any pupil absences and changes of driver/route allocations.

    Bank School Nurse(s)

    Hurstpierpoint College is seeking to appoint additional Bank School Nurses to work with the school nursing team in the School Medical Centre.

    The Medical Centre is open from 7.30 am to 7 pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30 am to 6.00 pm on Friday. It has two treatment rooms and two two-bedded wards for pupils requiring bed care.

    The Medical Centre team provides first aid to all pupils, staff and visitors to the College, as well as advice and triage as appropriate.

    Must be registered with NMC and have experience of being a practice or school nurse (or equivalent).

    Pay: £17.62 per hour.

    Morning and Afternoon Minibus Drivers

    Are you looking for a part time fexible job with long holidays?  Hurst is looking for school minibus drivers to work mornings (6.15am - 8.15am) and/or late afternoons (6pm - 8pm) for up to 5 days a week, during term time only.
