We work closely with parents to provide an environment where children learn in ways best suited to their learning styles and interests.
We provide an excellent education and have specialist teachers in key areas of the curriculum. These subjects are: PE, Swimming, Games, Music, Singing and French.
Computing and digital learning
The children use desktop computers, interactive whiteboards and laptops as tools for their learning. Class sets of iPads are used to enhance the children's learning in all areas of the curriculum, as well as for specific IT skills.
Our carefully planned learning experiences take place both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor curriculum includes weekly trips to the Hurst Woodland School which enables our children to be active and independent. Their skills and learning are supported and extended by their teachers and teaching assistants.
Visits and trips
Our pupils' learning is enriched by special visits and trips which support their learning journeys and reinforce topics. Previous trips include visiting museums, farms, beaches and theatres. We also arrange for writers and artists to visit the children at school.
